Nature Photography
I love taking photos of nature. I want to show small details that might easily be ignored. Sometimes I take a more macro approach, while other times I might step back and try to frame the subject in a more interesting way. I take a lot of photos of flowers because they come in so many interesting forms and are colorful, so I take most of my pictures in gardens. I like to have the sky in the background, as it gives the subject space. I also enjoy including insects to make the photos more engaging.
Besides taking photos of flowers and gardens, I also enjoy taking pictures that show the change in the seasons. It can be challenging in winter to take photos because of the cold, but the snow changes the outdoors so much and the light on snow is one of my favorite things. I particularly like capturing it during the early morning sun. Dead plants are not necessarily the most photogenic, but they have interesting textures and still hold great beauty.
